Did you know your carpets act like
filters in your home?
During your day to day activity, dust
and other foreign particles, along with allergens are
brought into your home. After entering your home, these
particles fall and work there way deep into your furniture
and carpet. The buildup of these particles throughout your
home can be responsible for bad odors and poor air quality.
Routine vacuuming can remove these particles from the
surface, but Hot Water Extraction is the only method which
will deep clean and flush these particles. Hot Water
Extraction is the most recognizable technique by major
carpet manufacturers and allows for the deepest cleaning of
all carpet types. A clean carpet makes your home look and
smell better, but also makes your home healthier to live in.
10 Step Carpet Cleaning Process:
1.
Pre-inspection:
Upon our arrival, we will consult with the homeowner on
which areas are to be cleaned. We will inspect the degree of
soil ness and identify any specific areas which need extra
attention.
2. Move
furniture:
We will move sofas, love seats, and end tables. We will not
move entertainment centers, beds or any furniture which
weighs more than 100lbs. additionally; we will not move
furniture with personal items on them. If you have specific
areas which you want cleaned, please move large items before
we arrive.
3. Vacuum:
We pre-vacuum each room to be cleaned with our ProTeam
Linevacer Hepa vacuum. Our vacuum has true sealed Hepa
filtration which will eliminate any dust or dirt particles
to re-circulate into your home. It is important to remove as
much dried soil from carpet fibers.
4.
Pre-spray:
We apply a specially formulated Green Seal Approved solution
heated to 150 degrees onto your carpet. The heated solution
breaks down the soils and stains to optimize our cleaning
process.
5. Agitate:
After applying our pre-spray, we have 3 different tools we
can use to agitate your carpet fibers. We have a choice of
using our Cimex machine, which is imported from England, our
Rx-20 with a fiber pad or our carpet rake. Depending
on your carpets degree of soiling, we will choose the best
tool to agitate your carpet fibers for the most thorough
cleaning ever. We then allow the solution to dwell for 5 to
15 minutes depending on the degree of soiling.
6. Hot Water
Extract:
We have 2 tools available to Hot Water Extract your carpet.
We have a Prochem 6 jet Titanium Wand or our Rx-20 rotary
extractor. We use de-ionized water heated between 220-250
degrees. This high temperature rinse thoroughly rinses the
carpet fibers leaving no residue behind.
7. Pre-spot:
After we Hot Water Extract, any stains that are not removed
will be addressed at this time. The customer will have the
option to have us apply stronger spotting agents to the
specific spot. These agents are not Green Seal Approved, and
are an additional charge.
8. Bonnet
Clean:
After we have rinsed your carpet we then bonnet clean your
carpet to remove any remaining soils and moisture. This is
done with our Rx-20 and a synthetic cotton pad. This process
not only dries the fibers but actually buffs them to make
them feel soft to the touch.
9. Wipe
Baseboards:
We hand wipe all radiator and wood baseboards in all rooms
which are cleaned. This is an additional step which we feel
represents the quality of the service we provide.
10.
Post-Inspection:
After our cleaning process is complete, we will inspect all
previous problem areas for re-soiling. We then groom your
carpet pile to leave a neat and attractive look.
Carpet Protector
After your carpets have been thoroughly cleaned, we
recommend spraying Teflon® Advanced. * (Additional Fee)
Teflon® Advanced delivers its
protection by forming a molecular shield around each carpet
fiber. The shield lowers the surface energy of the carpet
fibers causing them to repel liquid spills and dust and
dirt. This helps prevent dirt and stains from being ground
into or absorbed by the fibers.
Teflon® Advanced uses new DuPont
technology to provide more repellency than any other carpet
protector. It repels most liquids, allowing spills to be
removed before staining and wicking can occur. Dirt and
stains cling to untreated carpet and quickly become embedded
in the fibers. Teflon® Advanced keeps dirt from sticking to
the fibers, making carpets easier to care for.
Teflon® Advanced must be professionally applied by your
carpet cleaner. It is applied by spray application, dries
quickly, and leaves no odor. It is non-toxic and safe to use
around family and pets. It's CFC- and solvent-free.
DuPont recommends the application of Teflon® Advanced
after each cleaning on all carpet fiber types. With an
application of DuPont Teflon® Advanced carpet protector, you
have the assurance your carpet is protected with a premium
quality product.
