FAQs

Q: How often should I have my carpets cleaned?

Most carpet manufacturers require you have your carpets cleaned once every 12 to 18 months to maintain the manufacturer’s warranty. Depending on your lifestyle, you may need more frequent cleanings. If you have pets, children, or a busy lifestyle, your carpets will be susceptible to more wear and soiling, especially in the traffic areas.

Q: Why should I hire a Professional, Certified cleaner, instead of cleaning my carpets myself?

When selecting a professional cleaner, you should always choose one who is certified by the IICRC (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration). The IICRC is responsible for educating cleaners in the proper methods of thoroughly cleaning your carpets. IICRC certified firms are responsible for proving accurate information to the consumer and conduct business with honesty and integrity. Professional cleaners use “Professional Equipment and Cleaning Solutions” which are designed not to damage your carpet fibers.  Most “Do it yourself” equipment can do more damage to your carpet than good.

Q: How do I prepare for my scheduled carpet cleaning?

Please pick-up all small items from the floor of all rooms to be cleaned. We will be happy to move small couches and end tables that are free of personal items. We do not move beds, entertainment centers, or all other large furnishings. If you would like the areas underneath or behind these larger items cleaned, please move them before we arrive.

Q: Why should I have an additional stain protector applied after my carpet cleaning?

When you purchased your carpet, the salesman explained that the carpet fibers contain a stain resistant protector. Unfortunately, normal wear and tear of your carpet, along with cleaning, removes this protection from the fibers. Eventually, if you do not re-apply a protector to your carpet, its effectiveness will diminish. We highly recommend having protector applied back to your carpet either every, or every other cleaning, depending on the frequency of your cleanings. This will ensure the carpet fibers effectiveness of resisting future stains and spills.

Q: Concerned about Cost?

Let me start right now by telling you we are NOT the cheapest cleaner in the area. We have invested in the Best, State of the Art Cleaning equipment, which will out clean all other manufacturers. Quality minded clients seek out our services. Some people are so caught up on price only that they are easy targets of prey for low quality cleaning companies, at least until they have become a victim of poor quality. We cater to clients who are particular and expect top-notch service. Our clients are aware there are cheaper advertised prices but they know from experience that “you really do get what you pay for.” They are willing to pay more for our service since their high expectations are met. Many new clients state how they felt they wasted their money on a cheaper service because the cleaning company went so quickly through the job. We do not rush our work! You will get your money’s worth from us. “In this day and age, quality and low price are two entities that rarely come as a pair”. This statement is especially true when it comes to carpet cleaning services. All cleaning companies know what they’re worth and they price their services accordingly.

Would you buy the cheapest carpet available for your home? Of course not. So why settle for the cheapest priced cleaning company to maintain your quality item. In the end, low priced, low quality cleaning, will actually damage a fine quality carpet. So what have you really saved? We also notice that do it yourself machines and the cleaning agent used by the homeowner leaves a residue that actually attracts soil faster than if it were not cleaned at all.

Q: Why does low priced carpet cleaning often leave you shortchanged?

1)  Volume:  Low price cleaners survive on volume – which means get in and get out fast! If your carpet cleaner isn’t taking the time to pre-vacuum, pre-treat soiled areas, spot clean stains and thoroughly rinse cleaning solutions and soils from your carpet, then you’re being shortchanged.

2)  Employees:  Low price cleaners cannot afford to pay wages that attract long term dependable employees. High employee turnover is common and leads to poor quality workmanship from under-trained cleaners. It takes time and experience, and education to become a top notch cleaning technician.
3)  Low Quality Equipment:  Low price cleaners must survive on slim profit margins. This often leads to using low quality cleaning agents and equipment that’s in disrepair. Such agents and equipment cannot perform a quality job. If your cleaning company isn’t using the best available cleaning agents or equipment, you’re being shortchanged.

4)  Technology:  Low priced cleaners often do not have the time, money or man power to invest in technology. Carpet cleaning technology is constantly evolving with new equipment, safer more effective products and advanced cleaning techniques. Formal education of technicians is very costly, but necessary; to ensure you are getting your money’s worth. If your cleaning company does not belong to trade associations, subscribe to industry journals, take part in seminars and formal training courses…you’re being shortchanged.

5)  Guarantees:  We’re all familiar with the saying, “A guarantee is only as good as the company that stands behind it”. If your cleaning company doesn’t have a track record that says they’ll be available today, tomorrow and more importantly next year to stand behind their work…you’re being shortchanged.

6)  Premature Replacement:  The number one reason carpets are replaced prematurely is due to wear caused by inefficient cleaning. Poor cleaning leaves dirt and soil behind to act as an abrasive to carpet fibers. This leads to wear patterns and ugly traffic lanes. Most quality carpeting is designed to last at least 15 years, however if you’re considering replacement after 3 or 5 years, then poor cleaning by a low priced cleaning company is actually costing you money.

Q: How much will it cost?

A: We price by the square foot. Be careful of cleaners that price per room, its not accurate and they will try to up sell on the day of cleaning. Carpet cleaning prices are based on the size of area cleaned and how much furniture you would like us to move. Upholstery cleaning is based on size, number of loose cushions, arm covers and type of material.

Q: I thought my tile floor was maintenance free?

A: Unfortunately this is not true. Your tile will never need to be replaced due to excessive wear, unlike other floor coverings that are in your home, but proper maintenance is necessary. Most tile surfaces are not completely flat. They have pores, which will collect and trap dirt.

Q: Why did the original color of my grout lines turn darker?

Unfortunately, most new tile installers, never take the time to return and seal the grout lines. Grout is a cement based material that is extremely porous. When cleaned improperly, dirt and liquids stay trapped within the pores and stain the grout. This tends to make the grout color look spotty and dark.

Q: Why should I have my Tile & Grout professionally cleaned?

Professional cleaners have been educated in the proper care and maintenance of your tile floors. The equipment and chemicals they use, are specifically designed for these surfaces. The use of Acidic & Alkaline chemicals, along with HOT pressurized water, will effectively restore your tile and grout, to its original beauty. Proper professional cleaning will remove 95% of the dirt, and restore your floor to “like new” condition.

Q: Why should my Grout lines be sealed?

A: Applying sealer to the grout lines after cleaning, will form a barrier of protection towards future soiling. The sealer is designed to fill the pores of the grout. This will allow the customer time to clean-up spills, before they penetrate and stain the grout. Unfortunately, sealer does lose it’s effectiveness to protect the staining of the grout. Depending on the frequency of cleanings, sealer may need to be re-applied.

Q: What type of cleaning methods do you use on Commercial Carpets?

A: We have 2 different types of cleaning methods we can use on commercial carpets. We can use the Hot Water Extraction Method or low moisture Encapsulation Method.

Q: What are the differences of each method?

A: The Hot Water Extraction method is the method we use for all residential cleaning. With this method we need direct access to the areas to be cleaned. We have the capability to reach areas up to 800 ft from our truck. Unfortunately, with this method, the entry point of the building must remain open, to allow the hoses from the truck, to reach the areas to be cleaned. If you have a secured building, someone must guard the entrance where the hoses enter the building. Our Encapsulation Method is perfect for large commercial areas. It is a stand alone low moisture system. We apply a specially formulated solution from our Cimex rotary machine. This solution disperses the soil from the carpet fiber and crystallizes it. The crystallize soil then gets removed during your next scheduled vacuuming. This method has very low moisture, and the carpet will be dry within an hour. This method is perfect for high rise office buildings, large convention centers, and any other area where security is an issue.
